IT'S SO NICE TO MEET YOU!

head shot

Hello there, my name is Sarah Hollingworth.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board recognized Supervisor in the state of Oregon; I have been in the mental health field since 2007.

I believe that everyone can reach an optimum state of wellness by changing the negative narratives that hinder them, grounding in joy and gratitude, and developing intrinsic motivation for the positive changes to move them closer to their goals.  I have experience working with individuals ranging from 0-106 years of age with a variety of presenting concerns and comorbid issues.

My passions include working with individuals living with developmental disabilities, supporting youth and families living in non-traditional home environments and/or who are navigating multiple systems of care, as well as advocating for members of the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized populations.

In recent years, I have worked closely with academic institutions and early intervention providers to bridge the gap between the skills and tools educators are typically equipped with and the ever-increasing behavioral health needs manifesting in the outbursts and escalations youth are experiencing in classroom settings.  I bring a behavioral health lens to the existing strengths and skillsets of educators and child care workers.
